Links between schools are strong in Warwick

School leaders from St Mary's School and Assumption College, Warwick working together

On Monday, 24 July students from St Mary’s School and Assumption College, Warwick gathered for what has now become an annual celebration during Catholic Education Week. Together, the two schools shared in a prayer based liturgy based on the story of the good Samaritan.

Students were asked to consider the kind of neighbour they are to each other and to members of their community.

St Mary’s School Principal, Mrs Margaret Grew said, “We are people who are inspired by the actions and stories of Jesus. So, we need to challenge ourselves and each other with this type of question – what kind of neighbour am I? The story of the good Samaritan is an illustration of doing good in word and action. This is what we encourage in our students and what we model as school staff.”
