The opportunity   

In this role, you will be a valued member of the school community and will maintain a high standard of grounds and facilities for students, staff and parents.  

In accordance with the Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control (ACDC) Act, 1966, all TCS employees must hold an ACDC licence before distributing chemicals for the control of weeds on school grounds. The successful applicant is required to hold this qualification or be willing to undergo the required training to gain this qualification. The training consists of three units of competency and can be delivered in person or online.   

Although not mandatory, a qualification in Horticulture and relevant experience are highly valued.

About You   

  • Interest in grounds, gardens and general maintenance.
  • Experience in labouring and operation of machinery.   
  • Relevant qualification at certificate level or trade qualification, or a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.   
  • Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control (ACDC) licence or willingness to obtain.   
  • Either hold a current Paid Blue Card for working with children issued by Blue Card Services or be eligible to obtain one prior to commencing in this role.
