Professional experience placements
With 32 schools across the Darling Downs, Granite Belt and South West Queensland there are many and varied opportunities for your professional experience placement.
Because of our belief in investing in the future of the teaching profession, Toowoomba Catholic Schools offers sponsorships to assist pre-service teachers to undertake placements in our rural or remote locations, and this too can lead to fast-tracked employment opportunities.
If you are currently studying and interested in undertaking your upcoming professional experience placement with Toowoomba Catholic Schools, chat to your professional experience coordinators and ask them to forward details to placements@twb.catholic.edu.au.
It is important to enrol in your placement course early to be included in the requests that are sent to Toowoomba Catholic Schools.

Financial support for placements in rural and remote locations
Sponsored rural and remote professional experience placements for pre-service teachers include
- accommodation is arranged for you - your host will keep you connected with the school community and they will receive a hosting allowance
- $200 per week living allowance to offset the costs associated with undertaking a placement in a rural or remote location where you don't currently reside
- if you wish to arrange your own accommodation, you will be eligible to receive the hosting allowance
- $300-$600 travel allowance (depending on the location)
