The opportunity
The Education Officer works collaboratively with multiple role-holders and interested parties across schools and the office to support the implementation of key strategies that enhance leadership, classroom practice, learning and wellbeing. In addition, the Education Officer actively supports schools with the implementation of the Australian Curriculum and provides classroom modelling to demonstrate effective teaching practices. The Education Officer is skilled and knowledgeable across a broad range of areas pertinent to the work of schools and provides advice and support as determined by the principal in consultation with the Manager: Learning and Innovation.

About You
- Experienced teacher with a strong background in primary literacy.
- Deep understanding of the Science of Learning and the Science of Reading, with the ability to translate this knowledge into practical, evidence-informed support for classroom teachers.
- Able to travel regularly to a range of schools across the Diocese, including overnight stays.
- Are committed to creating a nurturing learning environment.
- Hold or be eligible to hold, registration as a teacher in Queensland.
- Recent classroom experience will be highly regarded.
