The opportunity 

The Education Officer works collaboratively with multiple role-holders and interested parties across schools and the office to support the implementation of key strategies that enhance leadership, classroom practice, learning and wellbeing. About You 

  • Experienced teacher with a strong background in primary literacy. 
  • Deep understanding of the Science of Learning and the Science of Reading, with the ability to translate this knowledge into practical, evidence-informed support for classroom teachers. 
  • Able to travel regularly to a range of schools across the Diocese, including overnight stays. 
  • Are committed to creating a nurturing learning environment. 
  • Hold or be eligible to hold, registration as a teacher in Queensland. 
  • Recent classroom experience will be highly regarded.
