Toowoomba Catholic Schools Celebrate 2025 NAPLAN Results

St Joseph's College, St Saviour's College and Assumption College celebrate this outstanding achievement.

Three colleges within the Diocese of Toowoomba Catholic Schools have been recognised as schools making a difference regarding NAPLAN results in 2025, reflecting an unwavering commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.

St Joseph's College, St Saviour's College in Toowoomba and Assumption College in Warwick achieved this outstanding milestone thanks to the incredible efforts of students, staff and families working together to support academic success.

Dr Pat Coughlan, Executive Director: Toowoomba Catholic Schools, said, "These results are a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our teachers and leaders, and the partnership we share with families. Our schools are committed to ensuring every student achieves their potential through high-impact teaching and a culture of excellence."

Jim Brennan, Principal of St Joseph's College, said, "St Joseph’s is delighted with the results of our Year 7 and 9 students this year. The results affirm the College’s explicit teaching agenda targeting the areas of numeracy and literacy and the professional development of staff in these respective areas."

Jessica Wade, Principal of St Saviour’s College, added, "The results reflect the unique strengths of the College. As a small school, we know every girl; her strengths, her challenges and her potential. That personal knowledge sits at the heart of our strong academic growth. Our calm, distraction-free classrooms allow students to focus deeply on their learning, supported by expert teachers who are dedicated to every girl’s progress."

Anna Hardy, Acting Principal of Assumption College, said, “We are proud of the exceptional results achieved by our Year 7 and Year 9 students. These achievements reflect the dedication of our staff to delivering high quality teaching and creating a learning environment where every student can engage in meaningful and challenging opportunities. Our high expectations, combined with a deep understanding of each learner, provide the foundation for outstanding academic success.”

These achievements affirm the Colleges’ commitment to purposeful, high-impact teaching and the shared belief that every student can thrive academically, socially and spiritually.
