The role focuses on maximising learning outcomes and increasing access to the curriculum for all students. The role includes delivery of services to some rural and remote schools.
The successful candidate will support students to achieve their potential using evidence-based contemporary speech language pathology practices, knowledge and frameworks to assist schools to identify and employ reasonable adjustments within inclusive teaching practice. The role holder will receive professional supervision and generous support to grow their own professional practice as part of the Toowoomba Catholic Schools (TCS) system, within the Education Services Directorate.

We are looking for a School Guidance Counsellor to work collaboratively with four amazing school communities to promote and foster the achievement, participation, development, mental health and wellbeing of all students, through the provision of a counselling service that enables student learning and quality teaching. The main function of this role is to provide counselling support to our students in partnership with the school community. The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or Guidance Counselling and possess effective relationship building and influencing skills, advanced interpersonal and communication skills, proven and effective leadership skills, and will be committed to the values and ethos of the Catholic faith.
